History
The history of HEIDEMARK begins in the sixties with the Futtermühle (Feed Mill) in Höltinghausen. On the way to becoming Europe’s largest company in its sector, we have taken many groundbreaking development steps. Here you can see the most important milestones from more than half a century of HEIDEMARK growth.
1965
Reinhold Kalvelage founds the Feed Mill in Höltinghausen.
1969
The construction of a turkey slaughterhouse in the town of Garrel lays the foundation for today's company.
1980
The founder Mr Kalvelage renames his company as HEIDEMARK.
1985
In Bernhard Kalvelage, the second family generation moves to the top of the HEIDEMARK company.
1993
HEIDEMARK lays the foundation stone for the successful turkey farming operations.
2002
The company establishes a parent stock and hatching egg production facility.
2007
HEIDEMARK takes over the slaughterhouse in Ahlhorn.
2015
Company management is turned over to the third generation, Christopher Kalvelage.
2017
Increased internationalisation with various new locations in Europe.
