Long-term product quality

Long-term quality proven with the DLG award

HEIDEMARK was recently awarded the "Prize for Long-Term Product Quality" for the third time by the Food Test Centre of the DLG (German Agricultural Society), which stands for consistent quality endeavours.

The award is only awarded if food has been regularly and successfully tested by the DLG for at least five years.

For many years, companies in the food industry have voluntarily had their products tested by DLG experts.

In order to promote this striving for quality, the DLG awards the "Prize for Long-Term Product Quality". "The award winners thus demonstrate their quality strategy as a clear commitment to continuous quality assurance and further development," emphasises Freya von Czettritz, Managing Director of DLG Holding GmbH.

The DLG's test methods are based on the latest scientific findings on quality assurance including laboratory analyses, sensory tests and packaging and labeling tests. The DLG testers are recognized experts who have both the necessary specialist knowledge and practical professional experience. The sensory tests are evaluated on the basis of a 5-point test scheme, which tests and assesses smell, appearance, taste and consistency. Finally, a gold, silver or bronze award is issued, depending on the number of points achieved.

Companies must participate in the product-specific international quality tests of the DLG Test Center Food for five consecutive years and achieve at least three awards per award year. From the fifth successful year of participation, the company is awarded the “Prize for Longstanding Product Quality”. If a company does not participate in a year or does not achieve the required number of awards, it loses its entitlement to the award.
